职位描述
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Full operational responsibility for the Quality function of a high volume injection molding and assembly Plants. Provide leadership to create a performance-driven organization and foster continuous improvement of all metrics. The successful candidate will:
· Provide leadership, direction to the quality team and be a driving force in reducing defects, scrap and customer returns.
· Will have a key role in sustaining and improvement of the quality systems to control the molding and assembly operations.
· Sustain and continue implementing the SPC program in all processes as required.
· Continue to foster a culture of continuous improvement to improve process control, quality yields and reduce DPPMs.
· Lead and coordinate efforts in maintaining and improving product, systems and process quality.
· Provide training to the manufacturing organization in measurement methods and quality improvement techniques.
· Take a leadership role in developing and implementing advanced quality principles.
· Oversee process capability studies, corrective action and material non-conformance systems.
· Will participate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of Rain Bird's Corp. Certification program.
· Monitor and report on key measurements associated with the operation.
· Work with all departments to drive improvement in quality through a closed loop corrective action program
· Implement all Rain Bird corporate standard procedures.
· Be enthusiastic, hard working, results oriented with a can-do attitude.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· An undergraduate degree in engineering or other technical discipline
· Excellent problem-solving skills and team orientation. Strong interpersonal, team-building, and negotiating skills. Ability to recognize opportunities for improvement and implement changes.
· Strong statistical knowledge
· Background in injection molding and assembly operations.
· Experience with inspection methods and statistical control techniques.
· Knowledge of world class manufacturing principles
· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
· Strong knowledge of ISO 9000, lean manufacturing and six sigma
· 5 years experience in a related position with supervisory experience.
· Fluent in Spanish and English - spoken and written
· Ability to Develop Suppliers
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Experience with implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) and or Six Sigma projects.
· Experience in Supplier Management
· 5 - 10 years experience in a similar position
· ASQC certification
· MBA or MS degree in related field.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Manage and execute Production schedule coordinating with other functional areas to accomplish company objectives.
· Organize, guide and supervise workforce, while maintaining a good work environment that minimizes turnover.
· Implementation of lean manufacturing concepts and Kaizen activities in order to achieve a continuous flow in the Production floor
· Lead, support and propose initiatives to increase efficiency, quality, and productivity
· Provide training and development for Production workforce.
· Promote a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement in the areas of Production, Engineering and Quality
· Assure safety, order and cleanliness of Production areas by promoting adherence to 5S and safety standards
· Coordination of projects and day-to-day activities to achieve Quality, productivity, and scrap reduction goals
· Apply problem solving techniques to address Quality and productivity issues
· Provides technical advice and troubleshooting on complex processes and automated equipment.
· Develop and implement productivity improvement and cost reduction projects
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor degree in Engineering
· 5 Years Experience in manufacturing operations with at least 3 years experience in a supervisory role
· Strong leadership, interpersonal communications, and teamwork skills.
· Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Total Quality Management and Statistical Process Control
· Knowledge of English language with both written and verbal skills.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Advanced degree in business or a technical discipline.
· Strong knowledge of SPC, DOE, CPk, FMEA, TQM, and 5S.
· Highly flexible and creative with the ability to succeed in a very dynamic environment.
· Knowledge of plastic injection molding and die casting process preferred.
· Knowledge of ultrasonic welding and PLC programming
· Ability to repair and provide maintenance equipment
OTHER INFORMATION:
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: -Manage all international import/export and China customs activities and documentation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
-Bachelor's degree.
-2-3 years of international import/export and China customs experience.
-Some experience working in purchasing field preferred.
-Some experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
-Knowledge of spreadsheet, word-processing, and manufacturing-control software applications is required.
-Good English language written and verbal skills.
-Familiar with MRP systems.
-Some experience in production planning, purchasing, inventory control, high volume manufacturing.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-Some knowledge of PeopleSoft and/or other similar MRP/ERP systems preferred.
-International purchasing, import/export, and China customs experience.
