RESONSIBILITIES:




The Sr. Quality Engineer will lead the efforts for production and customer quality. Monitors adherence to plant quality system and will be a driving force in reducing defects and customer returns. Additionally, the successful candidate will be a strategic thinker able to quickly identify improvement opportunities and work cross-functionally to implement them. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


· Lead continuous process improvement teams chartered to achieve and exceed plant quality objectives

· Provide quality engineering expertise as a member of the New Product Development team to assure compliance to specifications

· Analyze quality assurance data and initiate root cause and corrective action efforts to eliminate assignable causes that affect product quality (scrap, DPPM levels, etc)

· Work closely with product engineering and operations personnel to reduce manufacturing process variation and reduce plant's cost of quality

· Drive conformance of processes and procedures through the internal audit process and the corrective action process

· Participate in corporate standardization efforts and Quality audits

· Promote and achieve plant quality objectives

· Verify effectiveness of implemented corrective actions prior to standardization



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:



· Strong analytical skills with minimum of 5 years experience including incoming, in process and final quality assurance

· Well knowledge of quality tools such as Pareto charts, Root Cause Analysis, 8 D methodology, etc.

· Solid experience on the implementation and use of SPC

· Experience on Document Control

· Ability to read and follow drawings, inspection plans and basic dimensional concepts

· Solid experience on incoming inspection and equipment calibration management

· Proven experience on sustaining product/quality engineering activities

· Well understanding of KPI such as DPPMs, Cpks, etc.

· Ability to perform individually and as a team member with minimum supervision

· Ability to manage multiple tasks, self-motivated and oriented to results

· Good communication skills

· Experience on Staff supervision is a plus



DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:



· ASQ CQE and/or CQA

· Bilingual English/Chinese

· Proficiency with Office Tools (word, excel, PP) and statistical analysis software (Minitab)
