Responsibilities

1. New Products (30%)

- Support the definition and implementation of a new product sourcing strategy

- Lead commercial negotiations with Asian suppliers where requested, provide analysis of quotations and recommend supplier selection

- Plan, create and run ES events supporting NPD supplier selection with the support of GMDC

- Support both local and global NPD engineering teams

- Support the Emerson Sourcing Strategy Review process

- Provide component cost analysis

- Support agreed BOM cost targets

- Facilitate communication between CT Procurement and Purchasing teams

2. Sourcing Strategy (30%)

- Support the definition and implementation of an Asian sourcing strategy

- Identify, evaluate and recommend new supplier opportunities to Commodity Managers for both local and global CT manufacturing locations

- Lead commercial negotiations with Asian suppliers where requested, provide analysis of quotations and recommend supplier selection

- Plan, create and run ES events supporting supplier selection with the support of GMDC

- Support Commodity Managers to drive KPI improvement e.g. NMI, DPO, ITO

- Promote preferred supplier selection and consolidation

- Adhere to established sourcing procedures

3. Project Management (20%)

- Identify and minimize risks in the sourcing project and inform management of the risks being taken

- Plan and manage own sourcing activities, in line with the overall required project timescales

4. Others (20%)

- Support implementation of commercial agreements

- Develop strong understanding of supplier performance and identify improvement opportunities

- Support CT manufacturing locations to expedite deliveries to maintain business continuity as required

- Maintain strong supplier relationship

- Adhere to local and international Emerson trade compliance procedures in connection with all transactions and business practices

- Utilize Emerson sourcing tools and provide data (IM, COO) as required by Management

Must

1. Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (or other relevant Engineering qualification)

2. 3-5 years of relevant global sourcing experience

3. Strong analytical skills

4. Strong communication skills in both written and oral English

5. Work as effectively as possible ensuring consistent high levels of performance

6. Attend work as per contract requirements and ensure adherence to HR policies

7. Ensure work behaviour and conduct is acceptable and is not disrespectful to others

8. Adhere to local and international Emerson Trade Compliance procedures in connection with all transactions and business practices

9. Adhere to Emerson ethics policy at all times
