Responsibilities:
？ Ensure that all work is done according to AkzoNobel HSE standards and 5S standards.
？ A demonstrated capability to conduct experimental research.
？ Planning, implementation, logistical support, analysis and interpretation of experiments conducted.
？ Trained with best practices in daily laboratory work.
？ Be familiar with polymer, emulsions, paints and coating materials and their characterization.
？ Be capable of development of new analysis methods and multi-measurement techniques on the above materials.
？ Are expected to interact with collaborating research groups as well as be involved in mentoring graduate and/or interns working on complementary projects.
？ Managing and carrying out projects in which the team is involved
？ Acting as an expertise coordinator keeping in touch with universities, research institutes, and company R&D groups
？ Stimulation and initiation of innovative research within and across expertise areas
？ Reporting to Molecular Spectroscopy Team Leader, ECG China

Requirements:
？ A master degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Polymer Science and Engineering or similar discipline
？ Being an expert in NMR with at least 3 years of relevant experience
？ Project management experience
？ Strong leadership skills
？ Skills to be a leading person in the promotion and implementation of new knowledge
？ Excellent communication skills, enabling you to both motivate team members and to be effective in initiating contacts, advising people and reporting on the progress of projects and results
？ Result-oriented mindset that puts the client first
？ Ambitions to meet challenging target
？ Optimistic and positive
？ Team player
？ Fluent in English
？ Previous working experience in Research group of a big chemical company would be desirable
