About our Client
Founded in 2001, our client is a niche US Company in the fragrance industry, and is based in Cornwall, NY. It has grown to become the leading distributor of designer-inspired perfumes. The company prides itself on creating products that combine the same premium quality of a designer fragrance with affordable pricing and mass available quality of of a designer fragrance with affordable pricing pricing and mass availability.
In addition, they have also moved into the celebrity fragrance relam by collaborating with popular, and trendsetting icons. They conceive and develop a signature scent that speaks to his/her personal style. Till To-date, our client has over 250 styles that include bottled fragrances, body sprays, lotions and git sets.
Having venture capital firms invested in our Client’s company, our client currently has ambitious expansion plans and is a highly dynamic company. In line with its expansion in China, they are actively recruiting a China Chief Representative to manage their China operations, which is mainly functioning as a sourcing base.
Position: China Chief Representative
Location: Yi Wu, Zhejiang Province, China （浙江义乌）
Reporting to: Director, base in Cornwall, NY, USA
Subordinates: Currently 3.
Job Description and Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for all day-to-day operations for Yi Wu Office.
2. Provide mentor ship, leadership and training to staff.
3. Actively source for new suppliers and maintain good relationships with existing ones.
4. Provide US HQ with information on market developments and strategic sourcing opinions.
5. Ensure products sourced are within budget and reach quality standards set by
the US HQ.
6. Frequent liaison with the US HQ on various issues such as product development, sourcing requirement and day-to-day operations issues.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor degree or higher, chemical discipline preferred.
2. At least 5 years and above working experience in fragrance industry, and highly familiar with factory sourcing, production and quality control.
3. Experience in managing a team of people.
4. Good leadership and management skills.
5. Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese.
6. Good negotiation and personal communication skills.
7. Highly dynamic and aggressive, while also have strategic views.
8. Good presentation skills.
