Main responsibilities and activities
- Reach the proposed periodical sales targets in terms of quantity, pricing and customer base development, also managing the relationship with assigned existing customers;
- Identify new customers in the EPDM developing sales opportunities also doing pre-marketing actions;
- Regularly report to the Sales Manager and to the headquarter about the status of the assigned customers and market segments in terms of sales forecast, competition behaviour, pricing and customer needs development;
- Prepare proposals and participate to the activities for giving or renewing customers credit lines, and support the headquarter in verifying the solvency of the customers and co-operate in any actions or proceedings aimed to recover eventual amounts payable;
- Support the technical assistance team during visits to customers for application development, claims, new product presentations;
- Cooperate with customer service and logistic departments in troubleshooting problems arising from Customers, such as delivery to destination, Customers’ complaints and others.
Knowledge, qualifications and experience
- Appropriate university technical degree qualification (chemical or materials engineering, industrial chemistry).
- A minimum of 5 years of technical or commercial experience in multinational companies producing, distributing or transforming synthetic rubber (i.e. SBR, BR, EPR, NBR or TPR).
- Specifically at least 2 years of experience in EPDM business are required (main application are Automotive, Cables, Appliances and Polymer Modification sectors and industries).
- Appropriate knowledge of Office package at a user level: MS Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Outlook.
Languages:
- proficiency in English
- native language Chinese
Personal skills and characteristics:
Flexibility, problem solving, negotiation skills, high orientation to the goals, ability to work both independently, and as a member of a team.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and intercultural skills, resilience.
