Position: Business Law Attorney
Workplace: Shanghai Office, Hui Ye Law Firm (West Yanan Rd, Changning, Shanghai)

Job Responsibilities
 
Act as main point of contact, serve and respond clients assigned by the firm and team leader.
Identify implications for cases and analyze the probable outcomes of cases, prepare legal brief and opinions
Examine legal data to determine advisability of defending or prosecuting lawsuit.
Gather evidence to formulate defense or to initiate legal actions, by such means as interviewing clients to ascertain the facts of a case.
Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
Confer with both SH & NJ colleagues with specialties in appropriate areas of legal issue to establish and verify bases for legal proceedings.
Supervise Shanghai based legal assistant and monitor workflow and its efficiency
 
Job qualifications
Graduated from first-class law school of P.R. China
Further education background in the law school at U.S or UK is preferred
Passed P.R. China National Judicial Examination
Foreign jurisdiction qualification such as the State Bar of New York or California is big plus

Strong logical thinking and analytical skills
Proactive and diligent professional with good communication skills
Professionally proficient in English i.e. listening, reading, speaking, writing and translation
