Senior English Translator

Job Description

SOM is seeking an responsible, self-motivated team player to fulfill the challenging role of a Senior English Translator at our Shanghai office. Candidates must be highly critical, detail oriented, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Ideal candidates will have more than six years experience in a similar capacity.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Bi-lingual written and oral translation of professional letters, memos, regulations, contracts, policies & media with a strong technical, design, and construction related nomenclature.

· Coordination with other translators or translation companies to ensure delivery of quality work on a timely and consistent basis.

· Assist business development groupwith additional client and project related research as needed.

Qualifications:

· Proven aptitude to perform first-rate written and oral translation in a multi-national business environment

· Bachelor’s or higher degree in English or communications related field

· Excellent written and verbal skills in both English and Mandarin

· Candidates with experience in development, design or construction fields are preferred
