Objective of job
Providing technical support and organizational advice to contract workshops and fleet customers
On-site training to workshop technicians about technical and non-technical issues
Fulfillment of after sales commitments as stipulated in CV-sales contracts
Task designation
1 Workshop related activities
Carry out on-the-job training to promote the newly-built workshops.
Advise on enquiries from the service network and assist to solve technical problems.
Analyse product problems and prepare technical reports
Monitor the compliance with guideline for repair processes and operation of equipment
Advice on use of information sources
Conduct intensive diagnosis training in workshop premise.
2 Workshop Special Tools and Equipment
Verifying the equipment and the stock of special tools in the workshops
Developing proposals for special tools and workshop equipment
Advising on manpower demand of workshops
3 Customers related activities
Carrying out mandatory service and repairs on MB - CV at the customers’ site
Advising/supporting customers in respect of technical problems
Conducting customers talks
Developing of requesting work instructions
Instructing in respect of use of the information media
Verification the stock of approved service products
4 Preparation of field service trips
Specifying customer complaint
Tools/special tools needed for the task
Consulting relevant technical literature
5 Follow up & Reporting of field service trips
Preparing field service report
Determine necessary spare parts
Debriefing, discussion and analysis with superior
Monitoring the level of training of service personnel of dealership and customer
6 Contact with HQ for technical problems and transfer result to service
Analyse product problems and prepare technical reports (TPR)
Giving solution for technical problems to dealer/workshop within 15 working days
7 Training and self training
Ongoing self training regarding MB - CV new vehicle technology & developments as well as WIS/EPC/DAS Systems.
Attending technical and non-technical training courses
Qualification required
O Education
Bachelor degree or above, majored in mechanical/automotive field
O Experience
At leas 5 years on-hand work experience in automotive or engineering repair
Experience in heavy duty vehicle service is a strong plus
O Specific Knowledge
Good command of English in reading & writing
Ability to operate most auto maintenance apparatus
High level of automotive trouble-shooting skill
High standard professionalism & presentation
Strong interpersonal and teamwork spirits
High level of communication & time management skills
Strong analytical skill and ability to cope with stress
