This position is a senior position within the Asia Pacific (APAC) cross-border trade (CBT) shipping organization and will be domiciled in Shanghai, China. We are seeking a seasoned professional with significant experience in the shipping industry who will manage our relationships with postal providers (both origin and destination) as well as solution development with the providers.



Essential capabilities of this function:



* Operating in a global, highly complex environment that cuts through a wide swath of postal providers in multiple countries with varied technological sophistication and operational systems.

* Developing executable strategies for postal-facilitated, eBay sanctioned CBT shipping initiatives with main focuses on APAC to US and EU corridors

* Developing common sets of standards, service level requirements, and operational procedures to serve as key design principles to enable the strategic implementation of both forward and reverse shipping solutions

* Designing, developing, and implementing eBay sanctioned postal solutions to align with organizational goals; continuing optimizing the solutions

* Monitoring postal providers' performances through metrics to ensure consistent services and compliances to SLAs

* Ensuring a successful collaborative model with key postal providers to drive strategic goals such as revenue sharing and strategic agreements

* Collaborating with other functional areas and global shipping organization in the US in executing various shipping solutions



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


* Bachelor's degree from a major educational institution is required. MBA preferred but not required.

* Broad business background with postal services or commercial provides in the shipping and logistics industry

* Experience in building shipping solutions in the B2C, cross-border trade environment with demonstrated results, preferably in the ecommerce segment

* Extensive experience working with teams and partners in a global setting

* Experience in managing diverse teams including strategy, operational, and product functions across organizations

* Superior relationship builder and manager who can interact successfully at all levels of the management both internally and externally

* Excellent negotiation and analytical skills regarding contractual, technical, and operational issues

* Excellent presentation skills and high comfort level presenting to senior executives and large audiences

* Ability to analyze and utilize research to make data-driven decisions. High proficiencies with Excel and PowerPoint are a plus.

* Ability to operate in an environment that's going through tremendous growths and shifting priorities.

* Ability to execute against tight timelines

* Extremely strong oral and written communication skills in both Chinese and English

* Up to 60% travel may be required
