JOB DESCRIPTION
Title Technical sales and project engineer
Reports to Regional Manager
JOB SUMMARY
? This new position will need a considerable period of training.
? Establish and develop our presence as well as promoting our products in China.
? Propose innovative and advanced solutions with higher added value.
? Ensure a reliable and smooth project progress by being the interface person for our customer.
? Develop and find local partners for partial supplies, assemblies and services
TASKS
Administrative
? Report expenses
? Translate technical and commercial documents from Chinese to English/French
? Be the interface between parent company and customers
? Write technical and commercial reporting to parent company
Sales & Projects
? Organize and participate to client visits to create new business opportunities and to promote DEC products.
? Organize and support marketing activities, including trade/scientific shows, seminars, mailings, etc.
? Identify business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry; researching and analyzing
sales opportunities
? Respond efficiently to enquiries by contacting potential clients to understand and quantify their requirements
? Prepare proposals and quotations in liaison with parent company
? Maintain relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new
opportunities.
? Identify product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
? Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
? Follow-up closely project progress and respond efficiently to the respective needs
JOB REQUIREMENTS
? Several years of experience working with industrial international companies, preferably in the manufacturing, pharma or chemical fields
? Background in sales, pharma and/or chemical.
? Mandarin mother language, fluent in English written and spoken, other languages are welcome
? Very good communication skills – both verbal and written, accurate reporting skills
? Multi-tasking and great planning skills, able to communicate complex technical issues, problem solving skills with good presentation skills. Self-motivated and adaptable to work under minimal supervision
? Good command of PC skills incl. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Autocad and Inventor basic knowledge is welcome.
? Flexible and eager to learn new things.
