Description
This position will work directly with the Audit Teams and GM Audit Services (GMAS)/GM Management to provide data analytic support for on-going audits, special projects, and continuous monitoring/auditing routines. This position will also engage with additional internal GM customers to design, develop and implement data analytic solutions.
This position is responsible for:
- Supporting all activities of analytics projects and operations within GMAS Analyzing complex data, identifying anomalies and providing useable information to internal and external customers
- Providing recommendations to audit teams on types of analytics and procedures to apply to meet audit objectives
- Communicating data analysis conclusions to audit teams and GMAS/GM management
- Providing training and guidance to audit staff focused on data analysis tools
- Ensuring knowledge development and transfer to customers
- Staying current with data analytic techniques/technology
- Documenting related processes, procedures and analysis work
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information System or related field
- Three to seven years of data analytics experience
- Proficient in SQL language and at least two of the following analytic software: SQL Server, ACL, Tableau, MS Excel, MS Access
- Exceptional business acumen
- Ability to quickly grasp how a process works and leverage that knowledge to advance team objectives
- Experience in the design, development and implementation of data analytic solutions
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
- Strong organization skills to support multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication skills
- Ability to conceptualize and implement new approaches and methodologies
- Ability to travel and work overtime when necessary
- Excellent oral and written Chinese and English skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- CPA, CMA, CA, CISA, CISSP, CFE, MCDBA, OCM, OCP or other certification
- Knowledge of SAP (FI/CO/MM/SD Modules)
- Experience and skill with computing platforms including mainframe, PC and client/server
- Experience evaluating, implementing and maintaining fraud detection solutions and technology for a large enterprise
- Understanding of automotive/manufacturing industry
- Understanding of GM processes/functions
- Programming languages such as VB, T-SQL and R
- Prior audit experience
