I. General Position Summary:
The Sales Account Manager is a professional sales position that requires self-direction. This position's primary responsibility is to help grow RPA's business in China with other members of the Sales Team. This includes, but is not limited to: undertaking industry research, making cold/warm calls, understanding prospective client's needs, developing and delivering proposals, managing and building accounts (especially a particular global-class marketing research company in China), and meeting monthly/quarterly sales targets as agreed upon with Management. Additionally, this position will be responsible for managing projects together with the Operations Teams in Tokyo and Manila. This is one of the key positions for the Company in China and is partly accountable for profit and loss.
II. Essential Job Functions:
Business Development Activities
1)
Provides accurate, timely, and regular written sales reports to the Sales Manager.
2)
Develops an Action Sales Plan for the assigned market and portfolio of accounts that ensures attainment of individual and RPA sales goals, as well as profitability in China.
3)
Provides timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all RFQs submitted for pricing, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.
4)
After undertaking research and planning, makes sales presentations to prospective clients in Chinese and English and responds to RFQs, generates proposals, helps to negotiates deals with clients, and closes business with prospective clients in order to achieve individual sales goals within the assigned market and with a particular global-class marketing research company in China.
5)
Manages the sales pipeline to ensure that monthly and quarterly sales goals are met
6)
Analyzes the results of sales efforts, making adjustments as necessary to improve business results and achieve success.
7)
Works with other Sales Account Managers to ensure that Team regional sales goals are met and that each area is covered appropriately.
8)
This position may lead the Sales Account Manager-team in the future should the Company reach its expected sales results.
Client and Account Management Activities
1)
Develops and fosters deeper client relationships and submits written reports on all client meetings
2)
Plans and directs appropriate follow-up toward existing clients so that superior client service is delivered; shares appropriate information with the Sales Manager.
3)
Maintains regular emails and face-to-face contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
4)
Maintains and develops organizational culture, values, and reputations in Company markets and with all staff, suppliers, regulatory bodies, and clients.
General Activities
1)
Constantly identifies financial and other risks to the Company and reports these quickly and accurately to the Sales Manager.
2)
Maintains the public image of the Company
3)
Shares local insight on the Chinese market with other members of the Sales Team in Manila, Tokyo and LA and helps them understand the Chinese consumer as Market-Research Professionals.
4)
Functions as a cooperative and active member of weekly Sales meetings
5)
Prudently manages resources within budgetary guidelines to ensure profit.
6)
Completes other administrative work as required and acts as a key-part of a small office.

Physical Requirements & Working Environment
1)
This is an office environment and typical physical demands apply.
2)
Domestic travel may be required 30% - 50% of the time.
3)
International travel may be required at times.
Minimum Qualifications Needed
1)
Good written and verbal communications skills in order to communicate effectively with staff, vendors, and government entities in English and Chinese.
2)
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills are required
3)
Ability to get along well with different personalities and to work well in small teams is required
4)
Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and various sales-management software is required.
5)
Satisfactory background check (criminal, civil, credit) is required.
6)
Must have proven leadership skills and the ability to motivate other Sales Professionals.
7)
Must have a strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
8)
Must have professionalism, passion to succeed, and a motivation to reach higher goals.
Education/Experience
1)
3 Years of Pricing Manager/Project Manager experience in the Online Market-research industry is required
2)
Degree from a four-year college or university is preferred
