PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To actively support the steering of the DC / CDC operational business in order to secure avail-ability at lowest possible cost by preparing for decisions through analysis of common agreed information and give directions for improvement. Contribute to the development of the Delivery Process.
ASSIGNMENTS:
-Participate actively in the creation and implementation of action plans for a Distribution Unit during the BPL process
-Coordinate the Goal processes for the Unit, establishing of budgets, communicate and explain goals
-Secure the DC / CDC functional reporting according to common rules and deadlines
-Highlight discrepancies between goals and actual results in the DC or CDC and identify corrective actions
-Initiate and/or support benchmark activities towards other comparable Units
-Provide the DC / CDC Manager and the local management team with reliable navigation information
-Secure and develop a high consciousness of cost within the DC or CDC, initiate cost saving activities
-Secure the performance measurement and support to improve performance of the major KPI’s by being close to operations such as organizing workshop for business improvement, benchmark activities etc.
-Facilitate the decision taking process by providing the DC / CDC Manager and the local management team with tools, analysis and/or evaluations of business potentials
-Contributes to the development of DS with participation in Competence networks
-Can be the nominated Person as speaking Partner to the SD or CD Manager
-Can be responsible for the Consolidation of results for a part of the business
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs):
-Reliability of cost forecasting and respect of rules/definitions and deadlines
-Performance improvement of the respective business unit and goal achievement of non-financial KPI’s
-Success of initiated (corrective) initiatives and workshops
KNOWLEDGE:
-University degree (Logistics, Economics) or equivalent working experience
-Fluent in English and local language, both written and spoken
-Skilled in using MS Office
MOTIVATION AND CAPABILITIES/SKILLS:
-Open in communicating
-Not hesitant in proposing/initiating changes
-Understanding of the business/operations and its main drivers
-Understands major business changes and its consequences, scenario thinking
