SGX Sensortech introduction:

SGX Sensortech Limited is a manufacturer and research company of sensors and detectors for Industrial Safety, Environmental Monitoring and Materials Analysis. It is headquartered in High Wycombe, United Kingdom with research and manufacturing sites in High Wycombe and Chelmsford in the United Kingdom and Neuchatel in Switzerland.

SGX Sensortech Limited was formed in May 2012 when Baird Capital Partners Europe acquired the instrumentation solutions business from e2v technologies plc, a global provider of high performance systems and equipment. The business that SGX Sensortech has acquired comprises what was formerly known as: e2v scientific instruments, based in High Wycombe, UK; e2v industrial gas sensors, based in Chelmsford, UK; and e2v microsensors and MiCS Microsensors, based in Neuchatel, Switzerland.

1. Industrial Safety

Gas Sensor technologies, design and manufacture of Infrared Sensors, Pellistor Sensors, Metal Oxide Sensors, Thermal Conductivity Sensors, Electrochemical Sensors and Evaluation Kits, with applications in Mining, Oil and gas, Confined space entry, Indoor air quality, Industrial area protection and Leak detection.

2. Environmental Monitoring

Metal-oxide sensors are produced for environmental gas detection, including, Automotive Air Quality Sensors (AQS), Interior Air Quality (IAQ), Outdoor Air Quality (OAQ), MeMs Pellistor sensors (Mpel), IR Source and Module (MIMS) and MeMS Thermal Conductivity sensors for high volume markets such as the automotive industry.

3. Materials Analysis

Also produced are Silicon Drift Detectors (SDD), Si(Li) Detectors, Custom Designs and Pulse Processors for X-ray Spectroscopic Analysis. Applications include EDS (SEM and TEM), XRF, μXRF, TXRF, PIXE and XAFS, with detector upgrades and repairs.

Position: Senior Field Application Engineer

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY

The primary responsibility is to design-in the Gas Sensor product to the electronics, home appliance, HVAC, Coal Mine, environment, petrochemical, agriculture, steel and education industry.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

1. Provide technical, application, and trouble-shooting support to the field

2. Work closely with local and overseas team for goals alignment.

3. Drive revenue growth at target accounts by meeting or exceeding design-in goals

4. Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers’ engineers and decision-makers.

5. Learn our competitors' strengths and weaknesses, and provide the information to the internal teams.

6. Work closely with sales and marketing team to define new products for targeted customers.

7. Perform appropriate solution suggestion to customer and help them to evaluate new products.

8. Assist personnel at various industry trade-shows meeting with attendees, answering technical questions, and collecting leads for new business.

9. Be able to diplomatically handle a difficult customer while always maintaining a professional demeanor.

10. Willing to travel frequently

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

1. Bachelor/master's degree educational qualification in Electrical Engineering is preferred. Embedded senor application background is preferred.

2. Can design and bring up a sensor system with MCU independently, including schematic design, layout check, layout guide output, C program and system test.

3. Knowledge in power noise immunity, and EMI/EMC, could support customer pass necessary certification.

4. 3-year C language experience is required.

5. 5-year in the field of embedded design or application support is preferred.

6. Proficiency in both English and Chinese.

7. Good Communication skills and capability to gain respect and trust with the customer.
