As part of Maxim’s rapidly growing audio/voice products & software team, you will play a key role in supporting our products. Working within a small talented team of software and hardware engineers, you will be responsible for supporting our tier one consumer market customers. Your goal will be to accelerate time-to-market and build strong technical partnerships. This is a unique opportunity for someone who is passionate about audio and consumer products. Your responsibilities will include:
1) Developing drivers and support integration at customers sites
2) Face-to-face support of electronics manufacturers using Maxim’s digital audio and voice products
3) Bringing up, testing and debugging of emulation and production hardware
4) Bringing up and integration of Maxim audio products on mobile phone and tablet development platforms
5) Writing and maintaining customer facing application notes
6) Developing and maintaining cross-platform integration tools
7) Supporting audio & voice channel “tuning” of hand-held consumer products
8) Developing and maintaining evaluation/tuning software for Maxim’s audio products
9) Being the ‘lead customer’ of Maxim’s software engineering team, provide critical and constructive feedback on new products and work with the team to ensure production-ready products
Requirements:
1) Knowledge of Android, especially how audio subsystems interact/integrate with audio hardware is required
2) C, C++, and audio DSP software experience
3) Experience in interacting and supporting tier-one consumer market OEM’s
4) Experience writing audio codec device drivers is a big plus (Linux/ALSA)
5) Strong system level trouble-shooting and debugging skills (JTAG, oscilloscopes, analyzers, etc)
6) Experience with real-time audio systems in both analog and digital domains
7) Experience writing short/focused technical documentation, eg, application notes
8) DSP algorithm knowledge is a big plus
9) Experience with the GNU tool-chain, Git, subversion, Jira are all desirable
10) BS in computer science or electrical engineering with 4+ years of experience or MS with 3+ years of experience
11) Ability to travel domestically & overseas with some frequence
12) Fluent in Mandarin/English
