职位描述
BASIC FUNCTION: To assist the China Center with recruitment efforts; to plan and implement strategic plans to increase the quantity and quality of new students; to provide strong administrative support to current China Center staff to ensure the office consistence and stabilization.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following:
? Implementing international student recruitment plan and marketing strategies.
? Represent the University and disseminate information at high school and college fair; Counsel prospective applicants, families and recruitment agents; assist applicants through the application process.
? Support the international admission effort; review the application documents to ensure the completion and authenticity.
? Maintain constant communication with a portfolio of recruiting agents in China and train agent staff on Kent State University’s academic programs and application processes. Support contract renewal and payment processes to ensure a healthy and collaborative relationship with recruitment agencies.
? Collaborate with the OGE Marketing and Communication division for the publication of recruitment and promotional materials to support China marketing efforts.
? Help to establish and maintain contact for the intercultural and academic/study abroad collaboration with academic departments and partner universities in China.
? 5-10% business travel, which may include attendance of education fairs and visits to high schools, colleges and universities to give presentations, recruit students and promote Kent State.
? Attend weekly meetings with Office of Global Education. Meetings might occur during the evening hours.
? Enforce international admissions policies, goals, standards and processes in accordance with University policies and priorities.
? Manage the China Center Staff to provide the necessary administrative support
? Develop and manage budget for China Center recruitment and admissions.
? Perform related duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field and three years of relevant experience working in student recruitment and office administration.
Desirable Qualifications:
Prefer Master’s Degree; Foreign study abroad or comparable international experience.
Knowledge Of:
? US and China education system, admission procedures and infrastructure.*
? Finance knowledge and budgeting experience is preferred.
? Desktop software (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite).
? Social media platform content management and analysis.
Skill In:
? Strong Written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills in both Chinese and English are required. *
? Organizing information and projects; adhering to deadlines *
? Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and also independently for the assigned project. *
? Project management *
Ability To:
? Assist student with understanding the US culture and education system
? Convey clear instruction on application process and admission requirement *
? Provide leadership and direction *
? Work independently with minimal supervision
? Organize and prioritize work with a high degree of initiative and independence *
? Possess considerable attention to detail and a high level of quality control; maintain a high customer focus with contacts *
? Multi-task while managing multiple projects and assignments to meet deadlines within budget
