Job Description

We are looking for an individual with a strong understanding both of embedded hardware& siftware design and mplementation. Designs range in complexity from ECUs with multiple microcontrollers to simple sensor circuits. The ideal candidate should have the ability to creatively solve hardware design problems to maximize circuit performance while minimizing cost. This position requires a detailed understanding of embedded control systems.

Job Description:

? Design sensors and embedded controls for automotive and non-automotive electromechanical products
? Support new designs for quoting activities
? Work with component suppliers to select new components
? Perform worst case circuit analysis
? Perform component level DFMEAs
? Work with system and software engineers to allocate requirements to hardware and software elements
? Assist in developing functional and diagnostic requirements
? Develop EMC Test Plans
? Develop electrical test plans and perform electrical testing
? Participate in hardware and software design peer review activities
? Support DFMEA activities
? Support application specific hazard analysis and safety plan development
? Support Product Development activities as required
? Support Test Equipment Development activities as required

Job Requirements:
? Experience designing with 8-bit and 16-bit Microchipl, ST Micro, Freescale or Renesas microcontrollers
? Experience developing DC brushed motor controls
? Experience with analog and digital signal conditioning design
? Experience with hall effect sensor design
? Experience designing for EMC compliance in an automotive environment
? Schematic Capture/Simulation/PCB Layout experience using Altium Designer
? Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN)
? Familiarity with basic tools that apply to CAN networks
? Functional understanding of C programming language
? ISO 26262 - Road Vehicles - Functional Safety Development Process experience
? Advanced Product Quality Planning Experience
? LabVIEW programming experience
? Ability to work in a team environment
? Proficient written and verbal communication skills
? Proficient with Microsoft office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
? Full product life cycle experience

Bachelor – Electrical Engineering/Electronics Engineering Technology/Computer Engineering
Master – Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering
