职位描述
Purpose of Position
- Build appropriate strategy and multi-level working relationship with coaters and canners to leverage supply chain for design-in, sales and support of Corning Environmental Technology products to selected China OEMs involved in the manufacture of light duty vehicles.
Major Responsibility
- Understand Corning Environmental Technology (CET) products, their end-use applications (Mobile Emissions - Automotive & Diesel vehicles), and the immediate supply chain network and requirements (Tier 1 and Tier 2).
- Understand coaters and canners' strategies and targets. Establish our appropriate strategy to achieve agreed-upon budget and market share with designated OEMs.
- Coordinate internal sources to build multi-level relationship with supply chain.
- Support other departments to resolve complains and product related issues from supply chain.
- Use selected sales tools (e.g. Account Plan, Platform spreadsheet, CMIS) as set out by management to communicate supply chain status and needs.
- Understand legislation, trends and requirements for China auto market.
Performance Evaluation Criteria
- Meet annual sales budget and market share objectives.
- Build multi-level working relationships with supply chain.
- Leverage supply chain to maintain existing platforms and design in new platforms at designated OEMs.
- "Own the problem" - communicate clearly and effectively internally about customers' needs and make sure the problems are being resolved.
- Understanding auto industry and Corning's strategies, manufacturing process and product capabilities.
- Finish assigned documentation accurately and punctually.
- Share idea and information to make the team successful.
Key Decision Area
- Formulate and execute coaters' strategies with Regional Sales Manager.
- Provide quotation to coaters or OEMs.
- Authorize free samples under related policy.
- Propose application solutions to coaters after consultation to Application Engineering Manger.
- Arrange customer visits at customers' sites or at Corning plant (who, when, etc.)
- Coordinate with external and internal resources to meet customers' needs.
Relationships
A. Internal Contacts - Frequent contact with Customer Service, Planner, Commercial & Engineering Director, Regional Sales Manager, Application Engineering Manager and Account Manager in the company and in division; some contact with GM, Plant Manager, Production Manager, Quality Manager, Finance Manager and Technical Manager
B. External Contacts - Coaters, Canners, OEMs
Education & Experience
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Auto Engineering is preferred.
- 5 years sales experience with track record (multi-national company and Auto industry experience preferred)
Required Competency (Skills, Knowledge and Abilities)
- Proven sales record
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Good Presentation skills
- Good Computer skills (MS Office, Outlook)
- Good verbal and written English and Chinese
- Result-oriented, teamwork, outgoing and willing to bear responsibility
