Job Objective
Perform day to day purchasing activity to ensure that the supply can meet our requirement. Communicate with supplier; use metrics to measure improve supplier performance with alignment to company requirement including SGP, SCE etc. Collaborated work with supplier to ensure their inventory & production plan can support our needs.

Key Result Areas
1.Purchase Order Management
1)Create, release, submit and follow through of Purchase Orders to meet the demands of the production plan and Product Commercialization requirements.
2)Review MRP suggestions and exception messages on a daily basis and activate materials / ingredients purchase, re-schedule and cancellation accordingly to support the production plan.
3)Ensure manufacturing requirements are met and inventory policy adhered to.
4)Follow through and monitor inbound deliveries with Suppliers, Warehouse, 3PL and QA to ensure materials are available in-time for production and meeting inventory guidelines.
5)Liaise with suppliers and 3PL to expedite the activities leading to the receiving of inbound materials to support production usage and trials. Activities include and are not limited to custom clearance, registration of products with the necessary authorities, export and import clearance, transportation / freight coordination.
6)Revise delivery schedule in a timely manner to communicate changes either internally or externally driven (eg, changes in customer priorities) to the relevant parties. Pull in or push out ingredients / packaging materials accordingly to ensure a healthy inventory situation.
7)Liaise with Production Schedulers, Lab, Warehouse, Product Commercialization, and Customer Services as appropriate.
8)Ensure Purchase Order closure and perform Invoice verification with Finance, as necessary.
9)Ownership of MRP II / SCE measures for area of responsibility.

2.Materials Management
1)Purchase ingredients and materials in adherence to the inventory guidelines to support the production plan.
2)Support the Materials Review Board (MRB) process by ensuring inventory levels comply with company’s policy and write-off are minimized.
3)Proactively communicate inventory at risk and coordinate with other functions to minimize write-off.

3.Business Planning
1)Perform budget preparation of materials / ingredients requirement.

4.Supplier Management and development
1)Develop existing suppliers by performing regular performance reviews on suppliers’ delivery and drive improvements.
2)Actively manage suppliers in accordance to the Supplier Guiding Principles and conduct period audits.

5.Master Data maintenance
1)As part controller for purchased items in SAP, review and manage the Master Data and planning parameters in SAP or other planning system on a continuous basis to ensure good accurate and reliable information are exploded from MRP.

6.Registration of materials / ingredients with relevant Authorities
1)Register and set-up inbound materials with relevant Authorities, if necessary.
2)Understand and comply with the requirements of the local authorities.

7.Complaint Handling
1)Manage supplier’s quality and performance by submitting non-compliance report and following through till closure.
2)Perform root-caused analysis with suppliers and internal parties and ensure corrective actions are in-placed and complete closure of issues.

8.Drive improvement initiatives
1)Ownership of MRP II / SCE measures for area of responsibility.
2)Proactively identify and drive improvements in business processes.

Independent Judgment:
Typically receives assignments in the form of results expected, due dates and general procedures. Work consists of a variety of tasks/responsibilities where specific procedures do not exist

Knowledge & Experience:
5 years experience or above, solid knowledge in procurement, supplier management or supply chain management

Language Requirements:
Excellent written and oral English & Chinese skills
