This is a team managing 200+ TB-class databases for eBay's marketplace product site, targeting high performance, high availability, reliability and scalability, and daily conducting database and storage maintenance, diagnosis and performance tuning to ensure the throughput of over 1000 transactions per second. Engineers not only work on Oracle and MySQL etc. RDBMS in a world class technical operations, but also stand on the leading edge of Cassandra and MongoDB etc. NoSQL technologies.

• Strong interest and great passion in database technologies

• Solid knowledge of RDBMS and SQL

• Skills and experiences in Oracle, MySQL, or SQL Server is preferred

• Knowledge of Cassandra, Mongo DB or HBase etc. NoSQL technologies is a plus

• Logical thinking, swift response, systematical view, and a cautious attitude in problem solving

• Quick learning, team working, confidence, proactive and innovative
