Overview:

As a key member of the company’s Export Compliance Group, the Global Trade Compliance Manager will help ensure compliance with U.S. and China export laws and regulations. The role requires a working understanding of the documentary and regulatory requirements for the export of goods and services. The Global Trade Compliance Manager will work closely with The company Corporate, with the company`s Business Units, and with the company’s China-based customers to ensure compliance with all applicable export requirements.

This position will be required to travel as 25%

Responsibilities:

The Global Trade Compliance Manager will be responsible for conducting a full range of activities pertaining to export compliance for all of The company’s businesses. Qualified candidates must demonstrate and promote high ethical standards, while assuming responsibility for the following:

? Support the authorization and clearance process for export transactions, while ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory and company requirements.

? Perform transaction and customer screening, and properly vet third-party vendors, technology partners, contractors and consultants. Plan and attend off-site meetings for information gathering purposes.

? Help prepare and submit Department of Commerce export license applications and commodity classification requests. Help classify new products and technology.

? Collaborate with applicable government agencies, including the Ministry of Commerce People’s Republic of China (MOFCOM), the US Bureau of Industry and Security, and related branches.

? Provide export compliance training, both at The company offices and at third party sites.

Qualifications:

Required:

1. Bachelor’s Degree plus three (3) or more years’ relevant work experience

2. Bilingual in English and Chinese Mandarin

3. Strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

4. Effective product management skills to handle multiple priorities

5. Self-directed and comfortable working in a fast paced environment

A Plus:

1. Working knowledge of Bureau of Industry and Security, Department of Commerce, U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Anti-boycott Regulations, and Deemed Export Regulations

2. Experience using SAP ERP Software
