Definition of General Responsibilities:

· Participate to the Request for Quotation process

· Ensure the Quality management of the Chinese supplier panel

· Build action plans with the suppliers to eliminate non-quality and recurrence

· Support the suppliers in order to make progress

· Ensure technical communication with European team


MAIN ACTIVITIES

Support to Request For Quotation process

· Work with buyer's purchasing office and LCC manager to break down request for quotation enquiries to enable suppliers to cost all items
· Work with Supply Base to offer alternatives (Where specified material is either costly or not available)
· Analyze the Request for quotation information with the suppliers to ensure that the suppliers have fully understood HMY needs

Ensure technical communication with European team

· Ensure suppliers understood the technical requirements before production
· Clarify with European teams the technical questions
· Propose technical improvements to reduce cost or improve production lead-time
· Ensure suppliers will control the critical characteristic during production

Quality activities
· Conduct regular meetings to ensure quality on the HMY products with the Chinese supplier panel
· Analyze control reports on finished goods in cooperation with the Quality-control agency
· Decide appropriate corrective actions before departure
· Analyze the non-conformities detected in HMY plants or customers in collaboration with the suppliers
· Build corrective action plan to eliminate defects and avoid recurrence
· Maintain and record/log all tooling that is the ownership of the company
· Help supplier to make progress on the following fields
· Build reporting on supplier quality performance on a monthly basis

Managerial activities (line or functional management):
· Regularly monitors quality indicators for his/her suppliers


WORKING CONDITIONS

· Located at the Shanghai office with frequent travel to suppliers in China

· Knowledge of quality assurance with suppliers:

-Fault tree analysis

-PFMEA

-5S

· Process knowledge and industry expertise in steel, wood and Electric components

· Proactive and result oriented

· Fluent English and Chinese
