职位描述
Malherbe Design is seeking Talented Design Manager specialized in Retail to join his Shanghai office. With a strong experience in various fields such as Mass Market Retailers, Fashion stores or Shopping Malls you will have to work simultaneously on different projects for international and local brands.
Pro-active, creative and very organized, you have a real personnality and strong management skills. On top of that you are very ambitious and love the challenges.
As a key element in the company organization, you will lead your own team (designers, CAD designers, graphic designers, 3D designers…) under the supervision of the Creative Director and with the support of the Technical Department.
In this context you will be responsible of your projects from the brief to the opening and will be the guarantor of the creative product of the company at every stages of the process.
The perfect candidate will offer the right balance between Design and HR management in order to bring his/her projects and team to the summit !
Requirements :
Autocad / CS / Photoshop
Fluent English / Chinese is a Plus
Job Description
General Mission : To be the guarantor of the vision and creative product of the agency: from concept to construction
Flowchart: Under the supervision of Creative Director / manager of several Project Designers / Manager associated with each project resources (designer, autocad designer , graphic designers, 3D ... )
CREATION
Upstream:
Assist in the presentation of business Development meeting identifying relevant projects / target
Accompany Creative Director / CEO in the store check and take brief with the client
Creation
Analyze the brief and / or synthesize it to Creative Director during the kick off meeting internal
Make the first creative research , give the creative impulse
Understand , transmit and enforce the artistic direction blown through the creative director teams dedicated to different projects
redirect Designer Project where necessary to meet the expectations of DC. Ensure proper orientation of creative projects.
Plan and optimize the points with the Creative Director.
In Development Phase
Ensure the smooth running of each project stage
Ensure all creative and technical quality of the project in partnership with the Technical Director and Project Designer
Validate steps, deliverables
Follow the store site, prototypes
MANAGEMENT
The Retail Manager is a team manager . It shall endeavor to involve the right people at the right project and assumes the proper performance of his team
A- Recruitment:
Provide the team with the Creative Director
Anticipate and identify of resources for projects
Recruit adequate profiles as needed
Validate the recruitment of an employee with the Creative Director
B- Training
Train young recruits
Accompany the development of Project Designer
Identify potential and grow and / or place them in the right positions
C- Support Team
Listen , contact the team
Ensure that it is doing well and correct any internal problems
Validate OT
Evaluate RFP Designers (Autocad, 3D)
CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP
A- With the Account Manager
1 . Maintain good relationship with the customer
2 . Take the brief and / or write the brief with the client and the creative director
B- With the Project Designer
1 . Trade-offs if necessary ( timing compliance , contract compliance etc ...)
C- With the Customer
1 . Make customer presentation and argue, defend for the benefit of the project
D- With Management
1 . Be aware of the profitability of projects

Knowledge Architecture, construction, materials, etc. ...
Knowledge of materials , manufacturing methods , costs, process etc ...
Knowledge and local regulatory authorities
