职位描述

I. Background Information

Position Title: Manager, Corporate Social Responsibilities
Function/Department: Public Policy
Location: Beijing, China
Reports to: Director, Public Policy
Required travel frequency: N/A


II. Purpose

Lead CSR initiatives to promote GM's leadership position with government, think thanks, NGOs, local communities and internally with employees
- Administer GM China CSR Council
- Develop and manage CSR Budget
- Lead GM China CSR Council, functional teams and JVs to create CSR strategy, to develop CSR projects, and to executing CSR events with JVs' integration
- Consider and implement relevant CSR approaches within China such as a GM China Foundation and/or increased volunteer activities which include the direct participation and involvement of our employees
- Establish a well recognized reputation within China as a thought leader on CSR activities, and as the public face of GM China CSR activities with the government and multinational business community via public speaking roles
- Engage relevant Chinese government authorities and key CSR organizations within China seek their endorsement and approval then leverage their support of our CSR programs
- Lead the development of GM China annual CSR report and contribute to GM's global sustainability report
- Work with GM China facility group, PR and JV to collect data and communicate corporate facilities' environmental performance
- Proactively work with environmental NGOs and JVs to promote GM's environmental & safety performance in China
- Identify influential CSR awards and pursue nomination for GM
- Maintain relationship with CSR partners and influential NGOs such as China Women and Children's Federation, Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, MOC Multinationals Study Center, CBCSD, AmCham CSR committee, CAEFI CSR Committee, IPE, GBC, TNC and Tsinghua university

Assist function head of PPC
- on daily operation of corporate affairs team such as weekly staff meeting, action items follow-up, budget plan and follow-up and the team's other initiatives and administration
- on special projects such as government meetings' logistic arrangement, talking points development etc.
- on forum/event participation and speech/presentation preparation
- Coordinate report completion for Business Performance Review (BPR), China Public Policy Steering Committee meeting (PPSC), GMIO, GM Corporate


III. Areas of Responsibility

1. Lead CSR initiatives; Develop and manage CSR budget; Assist function head
- Work with GM China CSR council, Functional teams (PA, Marketing, HR, WFG) and JVs on CSR strategy, CSR projects, CSR events and CSR integration
- Assist function head on daily operation and coordination of business review reports
- Assist function head participation in forum and media interview

2. Coordinate business reports for GMIO meetings; Share CSR practices within GMIO region
- Assist function head and GMIO Policy VP to prepare GMIO meetings, such as GMIO public policy conference, BPR review
- Share CSR practices within GMIO region by working with GMIO Public Policy

3. Assist function head on government meetings; Leverage global resource on CSR
- Work with global Sustainability team on CSR projects,
- Support global Sustainability report development, and
- Global road safety themed initiatives

IV. Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and Competencies

Knowledge:
- Local CSR & Global Sustainability (required), local business and auto industry (a plus), general public policy knowledge

Skills/ Competencies:
- communication, teamwork, analytical skills, execution capability, project management, a leader of people, a thought leader in CSR field in China
- drive for results, business acumen, dealing with ambiguity, customer focus

Experience/Education:
- working for prior U.S. MNC in China (significant plus), MBA or postgraduate work (required)
