Reports to: Purchasing Manager
Location: Shanghai
Subordinates: None

Responsibilities:
- Procure raw material at most cost effective basis within specifications;
- Ability to quickly learn and map the market dynamics for various raw materials and other materials;
- Obtain measurable savings through effective purchasing practices;
- Identify and trial new sources of manufacturing for existing products and new product development as required by the company;
- Ensures complete, accurate and timely reporting to management of vendor performance statistics and marketplace changes effecting pricing or performance of materials;
- Ensures vendor compliance with company’s quality and safety regulations by auditing suppliers’ and manufacturing facilities/job sites, evaluating financial performance, and reviewing their quality control procedures;
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, ensuring consistent supply of materials to our plants; Able to handle a broad base of activity under stress
- Able to handle a broad base of activity under stress
- Work with global purchasing team;
- Other tasks assigned by superior.

Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Chemical or equivalent;
- More than 8 years of working experience in the field of purchasing raw material;
- Multinational organization with some exposure to logistics activity experience is a plus;
- Experience in chemical industries is preferred;
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills
- Familiar with project management and new product development cycle;
- Has good quality essence;
- Fluent in both written and oral English and Mandarin;
- Good communicator and team player;
- Organized person with detailed work;
- Problem solver;
- Be available for frequent business trip.
