Merchandiser (Tabletop, Indoor / Outdoor furniture)

We are seeking for a Product Development Merchandiser to join our Home Team. This is a great opportunity for you to develop strong skill in direct sourcing for home products with the right quality and right price.

Responsibilities:

• Provide market intelligence to buyers and line manager
• Work closely with the Design & Buying teams to develop product with the right quality and right price following through the Critical Path Milestones
• Identify suitable suppliers and recommend to Strategy Sourcing team for inclusive in vendor pool
• Manage new supplier on boarding, including business introduction, payment terms negotiations, and other terms and conditions
• Monitor the development from artwork, tech pack, sampling and approval through to production handover
• Monitor supplier performance and make improvement recommendations
• Work with buyers on buying trips
• Provide line manager with potential savings on new initiatives such as technologies and product development

Requirements:

• Diploma or above in Merchandising or relevant disciplines
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a sourcing or manufacturing environment with knowledge of tabletop household products & furniture and their related technical requirements
• Possess experience in working with overseas buyers independently
• Strong experience in influencing and negotiating with suppliers
• Proficiency in written & spoken English, Mandarin and Cantonese
• Well-versed in using Microsoft applications including Excel, Word Processing and Power Point
• Occasional travel may be required
• Immediate available is preferred
