General Description
The Sales Director is responsible for all sales activities and all marketing activities for the domestic market. In this position he/she leads a 4 - 8 persons team of sales people, marketing specialists and internal sales assistants. He/she is located in our Shanghai Company in Jinshan area. Frequently (around 30%) he/she travels to visit our customers in all parts of China, in particular in the dairy zones in Ningxia, Shandong, Hebei, Inner Mongolia and Dongbei, Frequent visits to Beijing, where the HQs of the big dairy companies are located, are necessary.
The sales director will be trained carefully in our technology.
The position is planned as a long term employment.
The Sales Director is in detail responsible for,
a. Maintaining and improving our network in the industry.
b. Maintaining existing and setting up new sales channels through dealers, agents, big dairy companies.
c. Leading the daily sales processing in an efficient way.
d. Oversee, supervise and train the sales team Cooperate with departments like R&D, production and after sales service.
e. Optimize our marketing by using new and traditional media, events, research.
f. Control the sales expenses of the whole team Developing strategy, tactics, sales plans and profit targets.
g. Developing relationships with new clients identifying and reporting on business opportunities in target markets.
h. Representing the business at conferences, trade and networking events.
i. Maximizing new business development opportunities.
The Sales Director China profile:
The candidate has proven experience of at least 5 years in sales of technical investment products in China as a sales person, area sales manager or sales manager China.
Preferably the candidate has a background in:
a.Dairy farming equipment industry
b.Dairy industry
c.Agricultural equipment industry
d.Food processing equipment industry
e.Cooling equipment
He/she has an educational background in technology (mechanics, electronics, machinery, cooling, process automation…) or a background in dairy farming/processing.
The candidate has excellent skills in communication with customers on all levels.
He/she can lead a team and improve the sales performance permanently. Growth rates of 20-40% per year in this very dynamic environment are possible and have to be ensured and organized by the sales director.
He/she is used to sell products which have to be technically explained and which are regarded as high quality and premium products. In close cooperation and supported by the technical and the service department the sales director finds the right solution for the big variety of dairy farms in China from small, family run farms to modern mega farms with 10,000 cows.
His/her personality is open- minded, honest, direct and trustworthy.
The candidate speaks and writes English and is familiar with standard software (word, PowerPoint, Excel…).
