Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all existing and potential factories are technically and ethically audited and approved in line with Tesco's policies
• Implement Tesco quality systems of every stage of production
• Evaluate and ensure that production meets approved sealed standards
• Instruct suppliers on AQL and Tesco's required factory standards
• Ensure that product inspection files contain all accurate information for inspection
• Communicate potential factory issues relating to production to Garment Technologist or Technical Manager (e.g. quality issues, factory non-conformance)
• Provide periodic reports on status of inspection, production failures and compliance to Technical Manager
• Escalate any technical issues that arise during pre-production meetings
• Release shipments where appropriate

Requirement:

5 years or more experience in the garment or textile industry, preferable in buying office;

Graduate in garment manufacturing or textile technology;

Knowledge of garments, garment manufacturing and technology;

Ability to make and correct patterns and improve fit;

Good communication skills

Experience in working with buyers and technical personnel both face to face and by video conference/conference call

Experience in factory operations, assessments and inspection processes;

Fluent in spoken and written English and Mandarin;

IT skills, proficient in MS office
