Wacker Neuson based in Germany is a top manufacturer of medium to light-duty construction equipment and specialist in the construction industry for over 150 years. Wacker Neuson is successfully running a Representative Office in China since 5 year and is now looking for additional personnel:


Purchasing Engineer – Construction machinery parts (Mini excavator)


Location: Neuson Representative Office Shanghai


Responsibilities:
Under the leadership of the Neuson Purchasing Manager Asia you will be a member of the Wacker Neuson Representative Office Shanghai. In this position you will have the following challenging responsibilities:

- Supplier research in the field of engines, castings, steel structure parts, FRP parts, rubber parts, hydraulic, cylinders, piping, gears, cabin’s, seats, cables, exhausts, electric parts for mini excavator focusing on models between 5 – 10 tons

- Comprehensive market studies in order identify future WackerNeuson vendors

- Develop communication with local vendors and negotiate with them for possible price reduction, quality improvement and change in supply conditions

- Organization of domestic and transport to the European Neuson plants

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor degree major in technical, ideally with a professional qualification in purchasing. Strong planning skills. Experience from working in the Construction machine industry. Experience in the field of purchasing in China. Experience in dealing with Chinese authorities, duty clearance etc.
Experience in Purchasing in or directly from the construction machine industry area would be preferable. Language: Fluently spoken (negotiation level) and written English is a must. German language skills would be of advantage. Experience with a modern ERP system like SAP is an asset.
