Experience or skills required
4+ years extensive, senior & practical experience in electrical circuits designing. 1 + year experience working for an electronic enclosure manufacturer.
Professional, solid knowledge & experience in IGBT firing systems, AC/DC converter system.
Capable experience working in a design and development environment for new products.
Past experience of designing electrical AC and DC distribution systems for Telecommunication equipment enclosures (both indoor and outdoor enclosures)
Full understanding of telecommunications terminology and technology, including following areas: DSL networks and cabinets, GSM and UMTS networks and cabinets, Cross connection panels, fibre and copper termination.
The electrical engineer must have experience in writing specifications for following items:
* AC to DC power supplies
* DC to DC converters
* AC and DC Lightning protection modules
* Surge protection at copper termination
* Fibre Trays
* Breakers AC and DC
* Over Current protection
* Smoke and water detectors
* Heaters
* Breakers and Batteries for battery back up systems
* Alarm systems
* MDF components
* Other key skills
* Design wiring layout and drawing wiring schematics for cabinet electrical systems that will typically contain the electrical components defined above.
Understanding EMC related cabinet issues
* Past experience of meeting the safety standards EN 60950 and UL 60950.
The ability to understand and interpret customer specification for a telecommunications enclosure, and from this understanding design a electrical system to meet customers requirements.
Strong communication, leadership and team work skills.
Familiar with Pro/E operations in product design is preferred.
