Description of the role:

Responsible together with Sales Manager for the correct technical solution, cost and scope of supply are chosen for each specific tender.

Key tasks:

Review customer enquires technically

Determine best technical solution, referring to MSD-RoRo design portfolio, in accordance with customer requirements.

Responsible of cost estimate, technical specification, tendering drawings including Equipment Main Arrangement (EMA), vehicle envelope checks as necessary.

All necessary correspondence/communications to customer regarding technical issues

Attendance at customer meetings and presentation of technical proposals to customer, if necessary

Work as Basic Design Engineer as necessary, see job description for Basic Design Engineer

Support/Assistance

Assist Contract Organisation after contract start up to transfer technical material and other relevant info

Participate in design reviews when requested

This job may also be expanded to Sales Manager.

Requirements:

Four year university degree in technical area, Master Degree in Mechanics preferred;

8+ years in the similar position, shipbuilding, ship equipment and RORO preferred;

Familiar with saless process, strong sense customer care;

Very good personality and open minded;

Very excelent communication skills and interpersonal skills;

Very good English, both writtten and speaking;

CAW software is a must;
