Our client is an American company which is famous in automotive components industry. It is famous for its braking and friction material.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. As product manager China, the position is supervising the country product strategy for Friction products
2. Driving the business performance of the product category by clarity of strategies based on through insights of customer requirements, competitors and distribution networks and adapts the global/regional product strategies to these market requirements.
3. Have the knowledge of automotive vehicle population and initiate and lead projects to increase market coverage of the responsible product lines and manage the projects with professional tools and process.
4. Identifying business opportunities and achieving incremental growth by new product launches, product range extensions or brand extensions.
5. Implementing the brand and product strategy through market segmentation and proper brand/product positioning (features, functions, quality, packaging), settling right pricing and creating unique selling points to different target groups.
6. Drive the product launches with professional project management methodologies and coordinate with engineering, manufacturing and sourcing to make sure of the competitiveness of the launched products.
7. Overseeing the business performance of the product lines and driving the business by adequate channel marketing and sales support as catalogue, customer loyalty programs, or other promotional activities
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE / POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor degree in engineering, marketing or business management
2. Min. 4-5 years working experiences in multinational companies in product management or application engineering for automotive industry, preferably in automotive aftermarket.
3. Strong self-motivation and have the drive to implement his project or strategies
4. Successful track record of achieving profitable growth by his measurable contributions
5. Conceptual, analytical thinking and creative in problem solving
6. Open-minded and be able to work in team
7. Be able to convince the others of his ideas, set priorities and manage the resources to achieve the objectives
8. Excellent English and Chinese both in written and oral.
