职位描述
Job Objective:
? Instill a Western manufacturing idealism within the Supplier Base.
? Understand automation, electronics, and vision systems for quality control/IMPLEMENT IT !
? Automate supplier improvement reporting system to executive management every week.
? Constant presence at SL suppliers in Asia.
? Understand catastrophic risk and monitor to eliminate with suppliers (FEMA)
? Co-create plan for China suppliers which automates catastrophic QA control as well as provides Exec Mgmt with routine feedback!
? Grow revenue and profit supplier improvement. Develop new concepts, sources/suppliers from Asia to USA operations.
? Develop Asian manufacturing operations, quality systems, sales & customer service, be “the presence” in supplier relationships.
? Coordination, and provide day-to-day management direction for employees whose job descriptions fall under the direction of the DSQE.
Process Objectives:
1. Learn and acquire necessary knowledge to become an expert in all mfg areas pertinent to building SL products and components.
2. Grow manufacturing profit to the company objectives/assigned goals.
? Reduction of suppliers cost 2%/year
3. Provide customer service:
A. Coordinate supplier business relationships for production of Sea Link
products at SLMC. Determine & assist in structuring business “deals”.
B. Create supplier valued added sales/services.
C. Develop personal relationships with suppliers.
D. Provide system whereby management can receive immediate answers. Automate supplier service processing:
? Delivery of all pertinent information
? Timely PPAP’s, PQA’, Quality Info, Cost Info Submissions
E. Provide solutions when potential customer and supplier problem issues
arise relating to supplier manufacturing.
F. Achieve/maintain ISO and QS 16000 certification for all assigned SL supplier facilities by 12-31-16.
Reporting and Planning Objectives:
The DSQE is a senior staff position and reports to the Vice President of Operations of Sea Link International. Reporting duties include:
1. Create new supplier processes and systems for manufacturing and quality.
2. Manage all product development for new products involving suppliers. Provide input.
? Immediately implement electronic & vision systems with supplier locations for high-risk Quality Specifications.
3. Critique supplier manufacturing systems for increased productivity, make changes.
4. Coordinate with Sea Link Sales/Program Manager Representatives.
5. Provide feedback to executive company management.
6. Provide long-term capital outlay plan to suppliers with/for supplier manufacturing
facilities.
7. Coordinate customer visits/presentations etc.
8. Meet supplier objectives established by Sea Link.
9. Understand and implement high visibility/risk Q.C. inspections.
10. Monitor and keep Sea Link Supplier Quality Manual updated...Create/provide
internal process improvements.
11. Provide 1, 2, and 5-year supplier quality objectives. Monitor progress.
Create the company supplier quality objectives. Monitor performance methods.
12. Provide employee training for all Sea Link manufacturing employees involved in
