Position: IT Manager

Job responsibilities

1. Responsible for the strategic planning and development of information technology systems and services for all users at the JI, including students, staff, and faculty;

2. Analyze user requirements and make recommendations for improvements of IT systems and services;

3. Supervise IT staff in the IT office and instruct their daily activities;

4. Recommend changes to the deployment of IT systems based on JI’s changing needs in teaching, research and administration;

5. Coordinate with external suppliers on IT projects if necessary;

6. Supervise the maintenance of basic IT infrastructure systems including file services, data backup, archiving, scientific computing, electrical power backup, networking, disaster recovery, and asset auditing;

7. Supervise the delivery of Internet and intranet network services including web, mail list, email and other related activities in a collaborative environment;

8. Ensure system updating in a timely fashion to keep pace with the development of new technologies;

9. Establish usage (and related) policies for IT systems;

10. Provide IT consulting and training services;

11. Responsible for IT equipment purchasing and contact with hardware/software suppliers.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or above in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or a related field;
• At least five years of information technology experience, and at least two years of supervisory experience in related areas;
• Experience in IT system design, development, and deployment is required;
• Programming experience in one major computer programming language (C, Java, etc.) is required;
• Experience in Unix/Linux, windows clusters, and/or super-computer administration is required;
• Knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques of providing computing services in an academic environment is a plus;
• Ability to learn new technologies and implement them quickly;
• Ability to identify and solve hardware and software problems effectively;

· Good English (spoken and written) & communication skills.

岗位职责

9． 建立IT系统的相关使用守则；

10． 提供IT咨询和培训服务；

11． 负责IT设备购买，联系硬件软件供应商。

岗位要求

• 信息系统管理、计算机科学、计算机工程、软件工程专业学士或以上学位；
• 五年以上IT工作经历及两年以上管理经历；
• 具备IT系统设计、开发和部署的相关经验；
• 具备C语言或者Java等主要编程语言的工作经验；
• 具备Unix/Linux，windows cluster以及超级计算机管理的经验；
• 熟悉教育机构计算机服务的原则和技术或具备相关工作经历者优先；
• 能快速掌握新技术并加以实施；
• 识别硬件软件问题并提供有效解决方案；
• 良好的中英文书面和口头表达能力；
