Location: Shanghai with business travel to the UK as required

Main Objectives:
Working for UK based SINO International Products (SIP) the successful candidate will be familiar with implementation of process and controls and development of quality assurance plans to improve performance of key suppliers. They must also have experience of supporting sourcing of suppliers for a variety of Automotive manufactured products such as injection mouldings, air vent assemblies, extrusions, pressed metal components/fabrications, rubber extrusions, turned/machined parts, checking fixtures, tooling and others as required.
A background within an Automotive tier 1 supplier would be advantageous as would experience in exporting product from China to overseas.

Main Responsibilities:
? Perform manufacturing site audits
? Perform periodic audits of supplier quality systems for the purpose of assuring continued Supplier conformance
? Develop positive relationships and effective lines of communication with suppliers
? Work alongside SIP Engineering Purchase to ensure that suppliers are clear of their responsibilities in terms of timing and technical/cosmetic requirements
? Management of supplier quality metrics
? Liaise with the SIP team in the UK to determine new RFQ requirements
? Manage suppliers to ensure compliance with supply contracts
? Track data, identify improvement projects and manage implementation into the supply base
? Using the Advance, Planning, Quality Process (APQP) tools and its metrics proactively to identify and help implement improvement within the supply base
? Initiate and follow-up supplier corrective actions to ensure complete and effective root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
? Implement and monitor corrective action procedures within the supply base
? Liaise with SIP team in the UK to monitor gauge, fixture and tooling design. Implement robust strategy into supply chain.
Essential Skills and Experience Required:
? Good communication skills (English and Mandarin) within a cross border/multifunctional working environment
? Competent user of typical IT tools/software e.g. PowerPoint/Excel/Word/Outlook etc
Desired Skills and Experience Required:
? Minimum of 5 years experience in a supplier quality capacity
? Prior supplier quality experience in manufacturing an analytic approach to problem solving
? Strong project management skills
? Strong problem solving skills
? Advanced knowledge of quality related tools including, but not limited to, SPC, APQP, DOE and Quality Systems
? Proven leadership skills
Educational Requirements:
? Four (4) year BS Engineering Degree
? 5 years experience (minimum) within and Automotive tier 1 or tier 2 supplier
? Minimum of 4 years Quality Engineering Experience
