Essential Responsibilities

* Work closely with Healthcare China management team and Healthcare global intellectual property team to develop intellectual property strategy for Healthcare in China;
* Work closely with Healthcare China scientists/engineers to identify patentable inventions, draft and prosecute Chinese patent applications for Healthcare in China;
* Counsel clients on a variety of intellectual property related issues;
* Prepare and prosecute trademark applications for Healthcare in China;
* Provide litigation and licensing support upon request;
* Manage Healthcare China intellectual property team;
* Manage Healthcare China intellectual property budget.

Qualifications/Requirements

* China patent agent qualification;
* Bachelor, master, or PhD degree in science;
* Law degree from a Chinese law school;
* At least 10 years of patent drafting/prosecuting experience in a large law firm or corporation;
* Native in Chinese and fluency in both oral and written English with ability to analyse and communicate complex positions clearly;
* Desire to learn and grow professionally in a challenging and complex business environment;
* Ability to function as a proactive partner for teams from different departments within the company;
* Strong sense of integrity and belief in integrity as a core value in business;
* International experience and cultural awareness a plus;
* Experience at multinational companies a plus.

GE中国研究开发中心（CTC）是GE公司四个全球研发中心之一，是跨业务集团、跨研究领域的研发机构，为GE各业务集团提供基础科学研究、新产品开发、工程开发和采购服务。

中心坐落于上海张江高科技园区，占地面积47,000平方米，于2003年5月投入使用，是国内最大的独立外资研发机构之一，也是国内极少数具有基础科学研究能力的企业研发中心。

GE中国现有研发人员2,800多人，60多个拥有世界一流设备的实验室，其研究力量主要集中在以下领域：
  
· 清洁能源，包括洁净煤、风电、太阳能发电等；
· 水处理与海水淡化；
· 材料科学，包括纳米材料、晶体、陶瓷，材料分析；
· 电力电子和实时控制；
· 先进制造技术；
· 影像技术；
· 化学技术，如导电高分子，电化学技术；
· 传感与检测技术；
· LED照明；
· 交通运输等；

 GE中国研发中心每年完成100多个研究项目。截至2011年底，GE在中国的研发人员共申请了700余项专利。
