Job Title:

Assistant/Deputy Manager- Sourcing & Procurement

Reporting to Manager – Sourcing & Procurement

Key Responsibilities:

Being part of one of the most important team in Group Sourcing &Procurement, one has to assist Sourcing Manager to execute end to end complex sourcing projects & manage global stakeholders applying top down thinking to create innovative solutions towards complex business situations.

· Assist China sourcing initiatives to handleCommercial, Quality, and supplier aspects of product development and sourcing projects – Direct, Indirect & Packing materials.

· Works withteam members on conducting general market research in various categories as well as research potential suppliers, product specifications, resources and environment.

· Conducts supplier analysis, Identifypotential suppliers, and to handle day to day activities to manage the overall supplier qualification process, develops and createsourcing plans, requests for proposal, and other sourcing documents, Logistics cost comparison (EXW to CIF), prepare and recommendsSourcing, Purchasing & Logistics proposal to Sourcing Manager.

· Handle the sampling and product approvalprocess for the project. Plans, directs, and coordinates the work activities and resources necessaryfor manufacturing products with internal stake holders in accordance with cost, quality, and quantity specifications.

· Follow-up with suppliers on closing of documentation related gaps and translate VQ & TP documents into English to reduce supply chain response time.

· To handle & Co-ordinate day to day operations related to Supplier's follow up, Samples arrangement & follow up with R&D /QC, Material delivery & Logistics arrangement, Payment follow up with accounts, Co-ordination with freight forwarders, Logistics cost comparison.

· Market Research ofLocal Chinese Databases&Market information covering price movements, Industry news, Demand-supply Scenario & economic changes.

· Support in Supplier meetings, visits& Quality audit, wherever communication in English is a constraint.

· Arrange Quality audit as per vendor Audit plan and support to QA auditor during quality audit.

· Increase effectiveness of Ej-buy (Vendx) with China based suppliers.

· Adhering to all company policies with particular regard to accounting procedures. Administering the online purchasing systems.

Job Requirement: Desired Qualifications, Skills & Experience.

Desired: Resident Chinese national havingBachelor of Science preferably in Chemistryalong with management qualification

Minimum3-4 years of enterprise level experience in assisting strategic sourcing, supply chain management and/or procurementfor Pharmaceutical API & Intermediates.

• Knowledge of Sourcing of Chemicals, Intermediates, APIs& Packing materials –Pharmaceuticals
• Negotiation and strong interpersonal skills
• Communication skills both verbal and written in English& Chinese.
• Supplier relationship management
• Knowledge of ERP, Logistics and other technical systems to streamline operations
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems w.r.t. cGMP requirement in Pharmaceutical industry.
• Time management & organizational skills
• Ability to quickly ramp up on industry knowledge and department practices
• MS Office
