Job description
Reporting directly to Regional Director APAC Perfumes (based in Hong Kong), you build and manage a China team (2 area managers confirmed) and (trade marketing & Key Account management, Retail to be confirmed).
You are accountable for the China P&L and a growing network of more than 600 POS across China. You manage our client's exclusive distribution partner and multiple retail channels (department stores, specialised beauty retail chains, boutiques, duty paid airport, E-commerce retailers).
Ultimately, you are responsible for sustainably growing sales, meeting targets while strengthening brand equity ( positioning, brand awareness, market shares, balance between all sales channels) in a China market that is changing (growing competition, knowledgeable consumers, slower growth rate..)
Your key duties are:
- To build strong relationship and effective partnership with strategic distribution partner (ADE) in charge of primary markets (department stores, Ferragamo boutiques, Sephora, Sasa, Duty paid airport) and drive sales
- To bring adapted support to distribution Partner at operation and strategic levels (purchasing, planning, marketing, trade marketing, promotion, retail merchandising, training, sales management (incentive scheme and sales agreement negotiation with key retailers)
- To manage directly secondary markets (independent perfumes stores) together with Ferragamo perfumes China team
- To hire team member (priority for one more area manager) and staff gradually the China team, manage and motivate them.
- To develop and implement China Sales and Marketing business budget and action plan with regional management support
- To explore and develop new sales channels (e-commerce retailers)
- To monitor execution, issue activities and market analysis (with corrective actions) anticipate business opportunity and organisation development to meet future market needs
- To ensure effective communication and coordination with China offices (Shanghai and Beijing), Regional office (Sales, Marketing, Travel Retail) and with HQ
Desired Skills and Experience
- You have a minimum of 10 years of total experience in commercial and marketing related function for international companies
- You have exposure dealing either with branded goods from FMCG or masstige or prestige segments and experience managing multi sales channels and strategic distribution partner
- You have experience of the China market and eager to bring a 360 degree wholesale business approach to drive growth in such changing market
- You are truly excited by the opportunity to take ownership of a multi- million Euro P&L, lead a team and manage both operation and strategic dimension of a business
- You are eager to tackle real challenges (business and human) by combining true entrepreneurship and strategic mindset
- You are ambitious (to take more Greater China responsibilities in coming years)

- You are fluent in English and business proficient in Mandarin
- You are ready to travel 40% of your time
