1) Perform diagnostics on major cost drivers (material, labor, Other Operating costs)
2) Plan, guide and support business units to achieve productivity, material waste reduction, safety and quality targets via lean transformations
3) Set up project team structure and coach unit project teams on priorities and deliverables
4) Train and build capability in all levels of organization regarding lean manufacturing
5) Enable local management to successfully drive and own improved processes
6) Coach, train and develop local management on project methodology, basic lean principles and best practice concepts
7) Actively practicing change management
8) Implement performance management tools to ensure sustainability of changes
9) Work closely with the local team in creating and maintaining related training materials
10) Make documented proposals for improvements
11) Ensure current and future states documented and savings/benefits captured through OPEX trackers (quantify effects)
12) Support the development and implementation of material management solutions (such as MIB) with units
13) Implement scorecards / planning tools
14) Propose and keep up with company Best Practices and benchmark initiatives
15) Coach other CI/OPEX Managers and lead training and presentation sessions
16) Work with Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques, such as 8 Waste, Just in Time, Value Stream Mapping, Kanban system, Problem Solving, FIFO and 5s and workplace organization including layout changes when necessary
17) Any other committees & task forces assigned to by direction
