General Purpose:
Responsible for working with Customers, Business Development Leaders, Manufacturing Operations Management, Product Managers and other functional leader and several Design & Engineering teams involved in the design, validation and implementation of innovative and cost effective product solutions aligned with the following two key responsibility areas

Principle Accountabilities:
Direct and control the activities of broad functional area through several senior Design & Engineering managers involved in activities such as designing, developing, modifying and evaluating products for automotive equipment and systems
Partner with other leaders to establish objectives and action plans
Ensure the development of Design & Engineering solutions for diversified industry segment covering a wide range of products and volume mixes.
Ensure budget, schedules and performance indicators meet corporate guidelines
Provide technical and strategic guidance to subordinate leaders to ensure achievement of goals and objectives
Develop and continuously improve methods, systems and processes in a complex and rapidly changing environment to improve customer satisfaction
Organize and lead reviews to ensure projects are delivered on time, as per cost targets and within quality specifications
Partner with Operations leaders to ensure Engineering & Design activities are well integrated with manufacturing operations including the use of Design for Manufacturability principles.
Implement appropriate HR Strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce
Includes travel to Asia, Europe and the Americas.
 
Background and Experience
 
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
Relevant Automotive Professional Experience of at least 10 years
Demonstrated Management Experience
Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference to practical situations
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
