Description
Job Description: In this role you will need to provide extensive BIOS/software support which includes: Work with the IBV to support the power-up/source debugging capability upon customer board at power-on stage. In depth knowledge of, Linux or Windows device driver and PCI express, SAS and SATA technologies are plus for achieving these goals. Responsibilities may include: Representing the customers' software/BIOS related issues. Communicate with IBV and factory BIOS engineer for root cause BIOS related issues. Works with the sales team to help resolve customers technical questions, participates in customers visits, and presentations. This Individual acts as technical experts, consultants, analysts, and program managers. Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment.
Qualifications
You should possess a degree in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering with a minimum of five years in BIOS/uEFI development/debugging experience. Storage software and Linux/Windows device driver development and/or validation experience will be a great plus!
Additional qualifications include:
- Ability to perform BIOS source debug in a lab or at customer site.
-Excellent overall understanding of Intel architecture-based servers or storage systems with knowledge of one or more of the following: microprocessor architecture, chipset architecture, system architecture, or platform hardware and/or firmware design
- Ability to perform hands-on storage software debug in a lab or at customer site.
- Demonstrated ability to listen, understand, and respond professionally to customer questions and/or issues
- Self-driven and demonstrate the ability to multitask effectively
- Exhibit strong influencing and customer orientation skills
- Experience working with customers and training would be an added advantage
