The role of “Project manager” has the following main elements, but is not limited to the listing below:

Offer Stage

· Review of enquiry from end-user;

· Define the scope of works;

· Review purchases costs and selected suppliers

Project Execution Stage

· Review the contract;

· Make risk evaluation of the project (technical and commercial);

· Organize and lead kick-off meeting, project progress meeting;

· Coordinate with Engineering Department and Workshop to define the scope of works after equipment dismantling and inspection;

· Issue the EIR; (for repair works)

· Make technical discussion with Buyer/End-user;

· Create and maintain the project schedule;

· Create Work Order;

· Coordinate with Engineering Department/Purchasing Department/QC Department/Workshop;

· Issue the PPL to workshop according to the finalized scope of works;

· Issue Purchase Order to Purchasing Department;

· Follow up the project process in workshop;

· Expedite the works in suppliers;

· Create and maintain the Project Folder

· Compile and maintain SAP updated;

· Prepare the documentation according to contract;

· Arrange the delivery;

· Build payment schedule, review and chase payment;

· Project review and analysis.

· Close project account once delivery and full payments are done.

After Delivery Stage

· Support in after sales services;

Responsibilities

· Respect of budget / Cost control

· Insure adequate quality of products

· Respect delivery time

· Create and maintain good relationship with Customers

Qualifications:

• Master degree in mechanical/industrial engineering
• Knowledge of Project Management and Quality Control required
• Experience in Steel Industry is a prerequisite
• Significant experience in a similar position especially in Iron Making Industry
• Workshop experience an advantage
• Knowledge about Sales/PM/QC/Logistics
• Be familiar with Office software; MS-Project, AutoCAD, Windows XP etc.
• Solid working experience in foreign enterprise
• Knowledge Iron Making market, Customer dynamics and requirements
• Knowledge of the English language allows handling international projects (verbal & written).
• Experience in Chinese business practices as well in contract negotiations
• Good general financial knowledge
• Well trained in negotiation and organisational skills
• A high degree of initiative and responsibility and are willing to fully invest yourself in the assigned projects
• Excellent communication skills in English/Chinese languages
• Computer proficiency
• General layout drawings and mechanical equipment design an advantage
