International Trader

The International Trader opportunity is aimed at candidates who have already gained a level of trading experience (2-5 years) from a commodity or financial environment and are ready to accelerate their careers within an energy and metals trading environment.

The recruitment programme has been designed to identify and develop the highest potential candidates operating in the market, providing successful traders with first day exposure and mentoring from senior commercial management and board level across the Trafigura group along with immediate involvement in some of the most exciting, interesting and successful trading strategies on the global market.

Trafigura is a global business and successful candidates will be offered the opportunity to carry out placements in any of Trafigura’s operating countries and therefore should be internationally mobile.

Successful candidates will possess an entrepreneurial outlook and demonstrable interest in the markets we participate in. A strong degree level education is required (in any discipline), along with a high level of literacy and clarity when communicating trading ideas/complex concepts. Good quantitative skills, communication skills and evidence of previous achievements will ensure applicants stand out. All applications will be considered on a global basis.
