职位描述
The Successful Candidate will:
- Manage the order release / follow up team and work with suppliers / freight forwarders to improve the on time delivery performance
- Strengthen cross-functional collaboration with Sourcing/Quality/Product development functions to ensure efficient execution of supply chain logistics
- Evaluate and negotiate with 3rd party logistics service providers and various freight contractors for seamless and efficient inter-mode transportation (such as barge, truck, rail and ocean) operations
- Work with contacts from various GPC business divisions to evaluate new business opportunities that involve significant supply chain inputs. Develop and supervise external warehouse inventory control system, and improve supply consistency for commercial penetration into new businesses.
- Establish logistic performance measurement and risk management systems for cost and services improvements
- Plan, develop and execute the implementation of new export consolidation centre operations and coach the implementation team in project management, consolidation centre operations and overall supply chain improvements.
The Successful Candidate will have:
- Degree qualified in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related discipline, you will have 5 to 10 years experience in shipping, logistics or supply chain functions, preferably within a MNC, or world class logistics service providers
- Strong contractual negotiation and project management skills; and abilities to deliver results on time/under budget
- Experience in Customs procedure / compliance in China and North American countries (US / Canada) is a must. Extensive knowledge and network of contacts with customs authorities at main Chinese ports is a definite advantage
- Ability to think independently and creatively to suggest ways to improve our operational efficiency and to ensure seamless regional & global Supply Chain solutions
- Possess a high level of integrity
- Superior negotiation, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Ability to work effectively in a cross functional and cross cultural environment
- Conflict Management and Composure under pressure
- Ability to be flexible and to work through ambiguity
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously
- Fluent oral and written English and Mandarin, additional languages a plus
