Major Accountabilities:
1 Develops moderately complex software in ASP .net, C, C++, C#, Java, assembly language, or other selected languages for Novartis applications consistently
2 Following Novartis coding standards and in accordance with applicable software development methodology and release processes
3 Utilizes software engineering tools such as configuration management systems,
build processes, and debuggers in the software development process
4 Creates and executes designs for small sets of new functionality as part of a software project
5 Provides reliable solutions to a variety of problems using sound problem solving
techniques
6 Participate in product and/or application definition activities including feature analysis and system tradeoffs
7 Apply a sense of urgency, commitment and focus on the right priorities in developing solutions in a timely fashion
8 Perform other duties as necessary

Ideal Background :
Education: Bachelor and above degree in Computer Science or equivalent education
background; A background in biology or chemistry is a plus.
Language: Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential
Experience:
1 Strong skills in Visual Studio, ASP.NET, C# , Oracle, Perl or Python.
2 Good skills in Webservices, XML, sharepoint, PHP and Mysql.
3 Strong skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with knowledge of W3C web standards.
4 Good skills in Linux and Unix.
5 Can work under pressure and be willing to meet the challenge.
6 Over 3 years of professional software development experience.
7 Previous experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry is a plus.
Specifically, the successful candidate should have the following professional attributes:
8 Initiative-taking: be a good communicator and a proactive contributor in leading the lab operations initiatives
9 Communication: Timely understand the needs and concerns from diffferent
functions
10 Scientific Background: Facilitate the communication with lab users
11 Team work: be a strong team player
Other aspects: be adaptable to changes, particularly those areas where roles and
responsibilities are sometimes ambiguous given the changing needs and complex
structure of the organization.

3年左右软件开发工作经验；
擅长.NET技术和oracle数据库，主要负责开发；
英语4级以上，能简单听说，读写熟练；
一类本科毕业、有生物化学背景知识、有外企工作经验的优先考虑。
