Assist Senior Quality manager to train and supervise QC team daily work to ensure the quality standard of the company. Support Senior Quality Manager to do factory assessment, coach and develop suppliers to ensure all the suppliers adhere to our quality standard. Assist in Monitoring production flow, maintains a close relationship with merchandising team.


Major Responsibilities:

1. Conduct PP meeting, inline and final AQL Inspections and provide solutions to solve quality issues. Report production status, potential issues to office timely and proactively.
2. Prepare QC Schedule upon receipt of inspection requirement. Arrange QC itinerary efficiently and comprehensively.
3. Provide technical support to merchandising team and factories to ensure product quality.
4. Build good communication between quality team and Merchandising team. Check with merchandisers to clarify any query point found during inspection, & follow up.
5. Ensure all production corrective actions are implemented in a timely and effective manner.
6. Factory development and relationship management.
7. Ensure factories/suppliers adhere to SA quality standards. Provide QC advice to factories/suppliers before and during the manufacturing process. Give suggestions to suppliers based on factory capacity and availability of machinery to ensure product quality. Provide advice on feasibility of our proposed requirements and suitability for mass production. Improve supplier’s quality performance, investigate reasons for product rejections.
8. Prepare weekly/Monthly/Yearly summary and analysis report of inspection results. Submit to Senior Quality Manager timely and accurately.
9. Assist Senior Quality Manager to do factory audit, assessment, business case reports to support manager to review and recommendation. Coach factories/suppliers to upgrade their score and grading. Improve their quality control procedures, help them to become the best vender.
10. Supervise QC’s daily work, provide solution to subordinates for deal with tough issues. Coach and manage subordinates.
11. Other duties as assigned by management.

Competences and Behaviors:

1. Able to understand business statistics
2. Technical qualification in the products handled
3. Good understanding of quality requirements for the products handled and AQL system
4. Proficient in every steps of the production control and process.
5. Strong in identifying production and quality issues during in-line inspection, and able to advise the vendor/factory management to carry out the necessary corrective action plan with the required quality standard
6. Firm and tactful character, with good interpersonal skill to work with factory people for problem solving under pressure.
7. Hard working and able to with stand pressure to complete tasks assigned efficiently within deadline.
8. Be proactive and take more initiatives & solve problems and share them with others.
9. Leadership skill and know how to train new staffs. Able to provide positive coaching and positive energy to team.
10. High adaptability and flexibility


Requirements:

1. Strong technical background in apparel and footwear.
2. Minimum 10 years experience in quality assurance and control managerment, at least 5 years managerial or supervisory experience.
3. Chinese language and English proficiency required.
4. Strong computer skills to handle various system, data consolidation and analysis.
5. Analytical and strong in problem solving, and root cause analysis.
6. Not color blinded.
7. Must be able and flexible to travel.
