POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Field Service Representative (or “Technical Advisor”) will report to the General Manager of Services, and lead the installation and commission processes at the customer’s construction site.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage the installation and commissioning of power plants in China based on GE aero derivative gas turbine technology.
• Provide on-site technical direction for installation and commissioning of electrical, instrumentation, and control system scope, including cable routing and terminations, loop checks, instrument calibration, safety and alarm system settings, PLC program installation and settings, system start up, and system tests.
• Provide leadership and technical direction to skilled labor performing work on customer sites, and assure that the work is completed in a safe manner, of the highest quality standards, and in full compliance with HDGE Installation and Commissioning Manuals and work instructions.
• Troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and control operations and maintenance issues for HDGE aeroderivative gas turbine generator units.
• Drive customer satisfaction trough effective communication, contract compliance, and meeting expectations with respect to safety, quality and delivery.
• Meet HDGE business expectations by managing safety, quality, schedule, cost, and risks.
• Plan and communicate project goals, deliverables, strategies, risks, and opportunities as required internally within HDGE and its parent companies, CHD and GE.
• Collaborate with internal HDGE functions to manage gas turbine package installation & commissioning activities.

· Protect HDGE’s reputation and technology in the market place.

• Promote a working environment that encourages employee involvement to achieve excellence in all installation and commissioning metrics.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree (Electrical/Computer Engineering preferred)
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
• Customer service mindset
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Fluent in Chinese and English languages; oral and written, technical and commercial
• Strong interpersonal and influence skills
• Willingness and ability to travel significantly with no geographical restrictions
• Must be willing to perform work at night and on weekends and holidays as required to meet business needs
• Must have a valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one

DESIRED:

• Minimum 1 year of project management or customer management experience
• Proven track record of leading multi-cultural teams
• Gas turbine installation and commissioning experience
