Position
? Engineer Of Supplier Development

Purpose of Position
? Participate in the sourcing, supplier development, and related processes essential in the production of the mechanical, electro-mechanical, electronic and hydraulic systems supporting the manufacture, sale and service of aerial devices, and other specialty equipment comprising the company’s product line.

Responsibilities
? Responsible for developing suppliers to support project to achieve project target(cost saving , good quality compliance, delivery, lead time);
? Follow sourcing strategy & plan to find out good potential suppliers;
? Organize external visiting and auditing to the potential suppliers and evaluation of new suppliers using Supplier Audit Tools;
? Coordinate to organize the technical clarification between team members and suppliers;
? Make quote analysis with internal team and negotiation with suppliers;
? Participate in final decision process of supplier selection with team members and interface between engineering, quality, purchasing, and suppliers;
? Periodically audit the suppliers and support to make improvement actions with selected potential supplier;
? Other assignment & purchasing support such as contract/PO management to follow up the purchasing, material tracking and payment issues, etc., ;
? Coordinate & follow up & drive the resolution of quality issues & delivery issues & service issues from suppliers as interface between team members and new suppliers;
? Maintain the monitoring system for cost saving against budget & on-time delivery review based on objective statistics;

Qualifications
? Bachelor degree in engineering (Mechanical preferred).
? Minimum of 2-5 year of purchasing experience or supplier development experience;
? Much stronger inter-personal skills with ability to work through all levels of organization, both internally and externally to manage conflict.
? Practical manufacturing (shop floor) exposure and supplier quality management or supplier technical development experience is preferred.
? Strong analytical and problem solving skills with background in interpretation of engineering drawings/specifications and manufacturing processes.
? Ability to travel throughout China as required ensuring that quality and delivery requirements are satisfied. Some travel to the U.S. is expected.
? Fluent in speaking and writing English.
? Ability to guide and influence suppliers with a high standard of ethics and honesty.
