Senior Purchasing Engineer

Key responsibility/task

Under guidance of the Strategic Purchasing Manager, lead all domestic business sourcing activities and support all international business sourcing activities

Domestic Business Sourcing

？ Lead all purchasing activities related to pricing, procurement and delivery of goods, materials and services

Including:

1) Products localization- new supplier sourcing and Price Inquiring

2) Price negotiation – cost saving

3) Place purchasing order base on generated purchase requisition of SAP

4) Delivery time observation and quality issues communication

International Business Sourcing

？ Current Supplier development

1) Supervise supplier on PO execution. Manage/resolve operational issues (delivery and quality) to ensure orders are delivered on time and complied with specifications.

2) Supplier negotiation – Price, Delivery time, Quality issues.etc…

3) Coordination of purchasing activities from headquarters.

4) Analyze the performance of each vendor. Update the qualified vendor list on regular basis

？ New Supplier Development.

1) Sourcing activities for new potential suppliers

2) New supplier visits, communication

3) Develop new qualified suppliers

Others

• ？ Collect data/info on raw materials price
• ？ SAP data maintaining
• ？ Other assignment may needed by Strategic Purchasing Manager

Qualification and experience

• ？ At least 5 years work experience in purchasing roles
• ？ Experience in mechanical component sourcing, fastener experience is must
• ？ SAP experience will be required
• ？ Familiar with the commercial terms and custom regulations in PRC / Asia
• ？ Excellent communication-influencing and problem solving skills

• ？ Frequent travel to PRC is required

Education

• ？ Bachelor or above degree with major in engineering or business.

Language

• ？ Fluent in both written and spoken English (Must). German is plus.
• ？ Native is Chinese

Direct Report

• ？ Strategic Purchasing Manager

Additional Capability

• ？ Proficient in computer skills, such as MS Excel, Word, PPT etc.
• ？ ERP experience is required, SAP is plus
• ？ Excellent strategic thinking and analytic skills
• ？ Skilled in purchasing and supplier development tools
• ？ Strong team work spirit and interpersonal skills.
• ？ Self motivation
